DFW COMMERCIAL ELECTRICAL / PROJECT TEAMS
Commercial Electrical Project Planning for DFW Property Managers
Prepare occupied-building electrical upgrades, tenant changes and lighting projects with documented access, shutdown and operational requirements.
Start with the property record
Collect available drawings, panel schedules, equipment information and the reason for the project. Distinguish observations from a diagnosis. Describe affected buildings or tenant spaces without including unnecessary tenant personal information or assuming that existing systems are safe or adequate.
Coordinate access and business continuity
Identify the authorized property contact, access process and operations that cannot be interrupted. Ask the qualified contractor and design team to define any shutdown plan and temporary arrangements. Tenant communication, scheduling and restoration responsibilities should be explicit before work is authorized.
Compare project scope and ongoing needs
Separate immediate repairs, planned upgrades and optional improvements. Ask proposals to identify exclusions, material responsibilities, testing and closeout records. Use a site walk for unresolved field questions or submit current drawings when the project is ready for bid review.
Choose the next review step
Use the planner while defining requirements, submit a bid package when drawings are ready, or request a site walk for field questions. Project acceptance and provider availability vary. This resource does not supply an engineered design or a binding estimate.
